Observed the exterior of the ice shoot and the ice lever of the ice machine, soiled with a dark, slimy substance. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Clean the exterior part of the ice shoot and ice lever regularly to avoid accumulations.

Observed employees cooking and handling food with watches on their wrist. Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. Employees must remove their watches from their wrists before handling food.

Observed employee cooking food with bracelets on their wrist. Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. Have all employees remove items from wrist before handling food.

Observed food employee prepping and handling food with facial hair and no beard restraint. Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch. Have bearded employees wear beard restraints.

The person in charge could not provide verifiable proof that employees are trained on what to do if they get sick. Employees are required to be trained in a verifiable manner on what to do if they experience an illness that could lead to a foodborne illness. A new form was provided during this inspection. Electronic files may be used but the person in charge must have access to the electronic files.

The establishment does not have procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of bodily fluids onto surfaces in the food establishment. A procedure is required. A new copy was provided during this inspection.
