Observed CFSM certificate not posted for public view. CA: The original CFSM certificate shall be posted in public view in each food service establishment. An additional copy shall be retained on file at the food service establishment at all times, and shall be made available for inspection by the Health Authority. COS PIC presented me a copy of the CFSM certificate. PIC will post certificate ASAP.

Observed no written employee health policy in the facility. CA: The permit holder shall require food employees and conditional employees to report to the CFSM and person in charge, information about their health and activities as they relate to diseases that are transmissible through food. A food employee or conditional employee shall report the information in a manner that allows the CFSM and person in charge to reduce the risk of foodborne disease transmission, including providing necessary additional information, such as the date of onset of symptoms and an illness, or of a diagnosis without symptoms, if the food employee or conditional employee. COS PIC will be given a copy of an employee health policy on today (01/09/2025).

PIC will have paper towels at the handwash sinks. PIC stated that someone went to the store to get supplies.

Observed household crockpot still being used in the facility. CA: Food service equipment must be commercial grade equipment and designed and built according to standards set by American National standards Institute (ANSI) accredited certification programs. Such an accredited program includes, but is not limited to, one offered by the National Sanitation Foundation, or Underwriters Laboratories. Food equipment that is certified or classified for sanitation by an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited certification program is deemed to comply with subsections (1) and (2) of this Rule when used for its intended purpose. PIC has been told several times to have household crockpot replaced with a commercial grade one.

Observed employee state that the employee handwashing sink in the kitchen area is used to rinse dishes. CA: A sink used for food preparation or utensil washing, or a service sink or curbed cleaning facility used for the disposal of mop water or similar wastes, may not be provided with the handwashing aids and devices required for a handwashing sink. PIC will only use employee handwashing sink for handwashing only in main kitchen area.

Observed no written clean up procedure for vomiting and diarrheal events. CA:A food establishment shall have procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. The procedures shall address the specific actions employees must take to minimize the spread of contamination and the exposure of employees, consumers, food, and surfaces to vomitus or fecal matter. PIC will be given a copy of a written clean up procedure for vomiting and diarrheal events on today (05/28/2024).

CA: The most current inspection report shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, within fifteen feet of the front or primary public door and between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in an area where it can be read at a distance of one foot away. PIC will post most recent inspection report in an area that is conspicuous to consumers.

Observed a household crockpot being used to store cooked chili. CA: Equipment and utensils shall be designed and constructed to be durable and to retain their characteristic qualities under normal use conditions. PIC will have until to Friday, 05/31/2024 to have crock pot replaced with a commercial grade crock pot.
