6 - premises free of pests and rodents; pesticide applied in accordance with laws, rules, and label
Regulation: 511-6-2-.13(1) - insect and rodent control
Observed no pest control contract for facility. Owner said they do not have a pest control contract and pest control company has not come in months.
CA: Effective and appropriate measures shall be taken to eliminate the presence of rodents and flies, roaches, bed bugs, and other insects on the premises. Pesticides shall be applied only by a licensed professional.
PIC stated he will contact pest control company to come out
34 - grounds, walkways, porches and hallways maintained; drives provide unobstructed width and proper spacing; graded to drain; trailer spaces marked clearly, areas clean and maintained in good repair
Regulation: 511-6-2-.18(2) - grounds free of litter
Observed grounds with litter and clutter present throughout.
CA: Grounds, including spaces beneath buildings and trailers, shall be kept clean and free of litter.
PIC will ensure grounds are clean and free of litter
16 - toilet/lavatory/bathing facility fixtures and rooms clean and maintained; properly lighted, clearly marked, proper signage, and all in good repair
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(4) - toilet facilities-cleaning and maintenance
Observed room 123 have a long term guest and bathroom had not been routiney cleaned and sanitized.
CA: A tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists.
PIC will ensure bathrooms are cleaned at minimum every week for long term guest
24 - openings to outside and physical facilities protected by tight-fitting doors, screening, or other means
Regulation: 511-6-2-.13(3) - insect and rodent control-openings
Observed exterior doors of rooms 129 and 136 with visible daylight coming through the door.
CA: Openings to the outside shall be effectively protected against the entrance of rodents and insects by tight-fitting doors, closed windows, screening, controlled air currents or other means.
PIC will ensure doors have weather stripping applied and that no daylight is visible
19 - anti-slip tubs/showers, slip strips, mats or appliqué products provided and in good condition
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(10) - anti-slip surface
Observed tubs in rooms 121 and 136 with no anti-slip surface or mat.
CA: Anti-slip tubs slip strips, appliqués, or slip-proof mats shall be provided in each bathing facility and shall be kept clean and in good repair.
PIC will ensure all tubs have an anti-slip surface or mats
