Observed food debris on the interior of the microwave. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Clean the microwave ASAP.

Observed a bottle of Pepto-Bismol stored inside the walk-in cooler next to items used for customers. Areas designated for employees to eat, drink, use tobacco products and electronic devices shall be located so that food, equipment, linens, and single-service and single-use articles are protected from contamination. COS: PIC relocated the medicine bottle away from items used for customers.

Observed an air gap along the bottom left of the back door. Except as specified in paragraphs 2 through 5 of this subsection, outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. Close air gap at the back door.

Observed pink/red in color organic buildup along the baffle and along the inside of the ice machine. Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be cleaned: In equipment such as ice bins and beverage dispensing nozzles and enclosed components of equipment such as ice makers: At a frequency specified by the manufacturer or absent manufacturer specifications, at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil or mold. Discard existing ice, then wash, rinse and sanitize interior of the ice machine before making a new batch.
