Observed the facility had no written consumer notification of the presence of major food allergens in unpackaged food items. CA: The permit holder shall notify consumers by written notification of the presence of major food allergens as an ingredient in unpackaged food items that are served or sold to the consumer. PIC will post an Allergen Awareness statement.

Observed no hot water at the vegetable sink. CA: Hot water generation and distribution systems shall be sufficient to meet the peak hot water demands throughout the food service establishment. PIC will have the hot water fixed.

Observed the area around the dumpster not free from an accumulation of debris. CA: Soiled receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to prevent them from developing a buildup of soil or becoming attractants for insects and rodents. PIC will have the area around the dumpster cleaned.

Observed spoiled milk in the RIC. CA: Food shall be safe, unadulterated, and honestly presented. PIC discarded the milk.

Observed no employee health policy for the facility. CA: Explaining the responsibility of the person in charge for preventing the transmission of foodborne disease by a food employee who has a disease or medical condition that may cause foodborne disease. PIC was given a copy of the employee health policy.

Observed no vomiting & diarrheal cleanup procedure for the facility. CA: Responding To Contamination Events. A food establishment shall have procedures for employees to follow when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. The procedures shall address the specific actions employees must take to minimize the spread of contamination and the exposure of employees, consumers, food, and surfaces to vomitus or fecal matter. PIC in charge was given a copy of the procedure.
