7 - ph between 7.2 and 7.8
Regulation: 511-3-5-.23(5)(b) - (b) during operation, the ph is less than the minimum or more than the maximum levels allowed in dph rule 511-3-5-.l7.
pH shsould be between 7.2 and 7.8. It read a 7.1 so it isn't compliant.
11 - appropriate lifesaving equipment present
Regulation: 511-3-5-.23(5)(h) - (h) absence of required lifesaving equipment on the deck or an emergency phone;
For the size of the pool, 2 coast guard approved ring bouy's and sheperd's hooks are required. Only 1 ring bouy and sheperd's hook was present.
19 - adequate turnover rate
Turover isn't adequate and unclear because the flow meter wasn't operational.
28 - flow meter: appropriate range and location
Regulation: 511-3-5-.07(4)(b) - (b) a flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (gpm) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. the flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from
Flowmeter was not functional and it must be operational for adequate circulation.
36 - daily recordkeeping: water testing and self inspection performed
Regulation: 511-3-5-.22(12) - (12) a safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.
Log isn't consistently recorded twice a day.
17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
Regulation: 511-3-5-.11(3)(g) - (g) the skimmer equalizer lines shall be protected by an approved cover/grated with a flow rating equal the maximum system flow divided by the number of skimmers in the system or the maximum flow rating of the skimmer, whichever is greater.
All skimmers should have proper circulation and no suction was felt. They were not maintained.
26 - gauge(s) in proper location; sight glass installed
Regulation: 511-3-5-.07(4)(a) - (a) a pressure or vacuum gauge or other means of indicating system condition shall be provided in the circulation system in an easily readable location.
Filters did not a properly functioning pressure gauge and there was no sight glass present for the backwash line.
32 - operator training certification available onsite and approved
Regulation: 511-3-5-.22(2) - (2) the trained operator shall have a current certificate showing completion of an approved operator training course. a copy or the original certificate or documentation shall be available onsite for inspection by the health authority.
Updated CPO certificate was not posted for occupants to view.
37 - other violations of the chapter
Equipment room must be properly ventilated with an exhaust fan.
29 - toilets & lavatories: clean, maintained, and stocked
Regulation: 511-3-5-.19(2)(i) - (i) soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue shall be provided in all dispensers.
Paper towels were missing and there was no hot water.
30 - deck/rinse shower maintained
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(17) - (17) a minimum of one rinse shower shall be provided on the pool deck of all public pools and spas. water used for rinse showers may be at ambient temperature.
No hot water.
