Regulation: 511-6-1.05(7)(a)1 - equipment, food-contact surfaces,& utensils (pf)
Observed the blade of the can opener unclean to touch and sight. CA: Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. COS: The food employee immediately washed, rinsed, and sanitized the can opener blade and holster.
18 - insects, rodents, and animals not present

Observed the back door of the facility door crack open during inspection. When the door is fully closed, there is a gap with sunlight shining through at the bottom of the back door. CA: Outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by: Filling or closing holes and other gaps along floors, walls, and ceilings; Closed, tight-fitting windows; and Solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors. COS: The door was shut. Discussed with PIC that they must acquire a weather strip and place it at the bottom of the door to prevent pests.

Observed the holster for the can opener unclean with sticky black residue left on blue nitrile glove. CA: Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. COS: The holster was washed, rinsed, and sanitized.
