19 - adequate turnover rate
Regulation: 511-3-5-.07(1)(a) - (a) the equipment for a swimming pool shall be of adequate size to turn over the entire pool water capacity. the turnover rate for pools constructed after the adoption of this chapter shall not exceed the sum of one and one-half times the average wat
Observed circulation system flow meters reading approximately 80 GPM and 55 GPM during the time of inspection. Based on the listed pool volume of 60,000 gallons, the observed flow rate may not be sufficient to achieve the required turnover rate.
CA: 13-205(b)(1) turnover every six (6) hours (pools); every 30 mins. for spas.
Advisement: Monitor circulation system performance regularly and ensure flow rates are sufficient to achieve the required turnover rate. Maintain pumps, filters, and associated equipment in proper working condition to support adequate water circulation and filtration.
17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
Regulation: 511-3-5-.11(3)(d) - (d) each skimmer shall have a weir that adjusts automatically to variations in water level over a minimum range of four inches.
Observed all skimmer baskets containing excessive debris during the time of inspection.
CA: 13-190(a) All circulation system components, including filter(s), pump(s), hair lint strainer(s) and other similar components, shall function properly and be maintained in a clean condition.
COS: Facility cleaned skimmer baskets during the inspection.
