Permit/Opening
1 - barrier: pool enclosed/fencing in compliance
Barrier fencing over the 2 inch minimum separation from non solid surface in grassed area.
6 - proper disinfectant level
Disinfectant method changed from chlorine pump to salt generator. Need specifications to determine if required disinfectant level can be maintained.
9 - filter: approved, maintained and operating
Inadequate number of filters. 2 required to meet required filter area, only 1 installed.
11 - appropriate lifesaving equipment present
Rope not attached to ring buoy. Hook attached to pole in position that could injure person being rescued, sharp side of bolts facing interior of hook area.
19 - adequate turnover rate
Unable to measure turn over rate due to stuck flow meter.
15 - depth and no diving markers, step marking; installed and contrasting
Regulation: 511-3-5-.18(3)(h) - (h) depth markers number and letters shall be tile and four inches minimum in height. numbers shall be of contrasting color to the background on which they are applied.
Depth markers not present on ends of pool.
17 - skimmers/gutters maintained and operable
Inadequate number of skimmers provided, 3 needed based on rules and only 2 installed.
Equalizer line specifications not provided, unknown if meets rules.
12 - grab/hand rails, ladders installed and secure
2 handrails required at stairs, only 1 installed.
22 - signs: peak occupancy/pool/spa/signs legible and in clearview
"No Diving" not spelled out as required, universal no diving symbol only.
Pool signage not permanently posted, signage being installed during inspection.
37 - other violations of the chapter
Drinking fountain not provided at pool.
Completed VGB certificate for main drain covers not present.
24 - piping identified and marked
Regulation: 511-3-5-.08(6) - (6) all piping shall be marked with directional arrows as necessary to determine flow direction. all piping in the equipment room shall be permanently identified by its use and the pool and or aquatic feature it serves.
