Observed flow meter not working. b) A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications. Per CPO, a new flow meter is scheduled to installed.

Observed skimmer basket missing (x4) and one in need in cleaning. Per CPO, the baskets have been scheduled to be ordered by the project manager.

Observed low alkalinity level in pool. EHS informed PIC of the need to balance the water chemistry.

Observed chlorine levels extremely low. (c) Free Chlorine level in pools using cyanuric acid or a stabilized chlorine product; Minimum 2.0 Ideal 2.0-5.0 Maximum 10.0EHS informed PIC of the need to have the CPO balance the water chemistry.

EHS could not access the pressure gauge as the pump room was locked. (b) The pressure gauge shall be installed downstream from the pump, on the face piping ahead of the filter or on top of the filter in the area of greatest filter pressure. CPO did not arrive to open the room.

Observed facility contact information or 911 locater not posted at the emergency phone. A 911 sign or the names and phone numbers of the nearest available police, fire, ambulance service or rescue unit shall be posted nearby. EHS informed PIC of the need to post the information near the phone.

PIC attempted to fix the issue but had no success; PIC is aware of the need to fix the issue before permitting.

Observed pool hours and bather load needs to be posted on or near the entrance gate in 4 inch letters. (c) A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy. EHS informed PIC of the need to posted the noted information.

Observed piping in the pump room not labeled with arrows noting the direction of water flow or the source it feeds; i.e main drain, skimmers. (6) All piping shall be marked with directional arrows as necessary to determine flow direction. All piping in the equipment room shall be permanently identified by its use and the pool and or aquatic feature it serves. EHS informed PIC of the need to label piping.
