8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
Regulation: 511-6-2-.15(5) - heating and fire safety-inspection
Observed smoke detectors in rooms 204, 207 and 209 unplugged and missing in rooms. All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency. Explained to PIC. that all smoke detectors need to be i working order in all rooms
28 - beds, mattresses, mattress pads, springs, frames, pillows, and bed coverings clean; vermin free and in good condition; bed linen properly supplied, changed and laundered

Observed stains on pillowcase and mattress cover in rooms 206, 209, and 211. - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly. Explained to PIC

Observed no current inspection report displayed for public view. The most recent tourist accommodation inspection report form shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in a public area such as the registration desk, where it can be read at a distance of one foot away. Explained to PIC that inspection report must be posted
25 - floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors clean, and in good repair; appropriate for location and operation

Observed holes in wall in room 203. Floors, Walls, and Ceilings Floors, walls, ceilings. windows, doors and all other appurtenances shall be of sound construction, properly maintained in good repair and shall be kept clean. In all new constructed and extensively remodeled residential kitchens used in bed and breakfast inns, coved base molding may be required. Walls and ceilings in residential kitchens shall be easily cleanable and light colored. Explained to PIC
33 - housekeeping carts and storage areas maintained; clean/sanitized items protected from contamination

Observed storage area for linens and cleaning supplies dirty and in need of maintenance. Housekeeping Carts Housekeeper carts shall be so arranged that clean replacement supplies, clean linens, and cleaned and sanitized multi-use equipment and utensils shall be protected from soiled items being removed from each room. Soiled linens and refuse shall be placed in appropriate containers on housekeepers’ carts. Any spray bottle used in cleaning a tourist room or stored on the housekeeping cart shall be labeled with its contents. Cleaners and sanitizer shall be used according to the manufacturer’s use direction and label. Explained to PIC
