Observed cook wearing a watch and bracelet while making orders in main kitchen.
CA: Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food.
COS: Employee removed jewelry.
18 - insects, rodents, and animals not present
Observed daylight at bottom corner and between seam of back door in main kitchen area.
CA: Outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents by solid, self-closing, tight-fitting doors.
Health dept. to check back.
14A - in-use utensils: properly stored
Regulation: 511-6-1.04(4)(k) - in-use utensils, between-use storage (c)
Observed scoop for frozen okra stored with handle in food product in reach in cooler and foam single use cup used as scoop for frozen shrimp in walk in freezer in main kitchen.
CA: During pauses food preparation, utensils shall be stored in the food with their handles above the top of the food and the container.
COS: Scoop was stored handle up in frozen okra and PIC discarded foam cup used for scooping frozen shrimp.
