Observed package of raw ground beef placed in prep sink thawing at room temp. Thaw is cooler, under(submerged) cool running water, in microwave followed by immediate cooking, or extended cooking time. As package still firmly frozen, placed on tray in WIC.
17C - physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(5)(a),(b) - good repair, physical facilities maintained; cleaning, frequency & restrictions, cleaned often enough to keep them clean (c)
Observed damaged floor tile at door to WIC, accumulations of debris on WIC fan grill, floors and ceiling, and dust accumulations on ceiling vents especially in chemical and dry storage areas. Repair surfaces to provide smooth and easily cleanable surface, and clean surfaces at a frequency to prevent accumulations. Complette by 3/22/26.
