8 - annual gas fired equipment inspection on file; gas units equipped with automatic safety and/or 100% cut-off pilot
Regulation: 511-6-2-.15(5) - heating and fire safety-inspection
Observed the annual gas fired equipment report expired (11/11/25). Facility will need to get all gas-fired equipment inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority.
511-6-2-.15(5) - Heating and Fire Safety-Inspection All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency
9 - food offered in compliance with tourist accommodation permit or food service permit; appropriate bed and breakfast or continental breakfast operations and menu; proper food temperatures; handwashing and no bare hand contact
Regulation: 511-6-2-.19(1) - food service establishment
Observed the location is offering food to guest through room service without a valid food permit. There is a QR observed on a flyer labeled "room service". Once the QR code was scanned a detailed menu appeared. When the number listed was called the representative was unable to provide current permit information, name, nor exact location for an undisclosed food preparation kitchen- stated to be one mile from tourist accommodation. As a result of the room service provider (Order Inn/Dragonfly kitchen) being unable to provide proper permitting information, the TA will cease providing food through services listed above until further notice. The TA manager stated that the franchise provided the flyer last month and the he assumed food was coming from a restaurant. Facility was given a warning notice. Also noticed the location using gallon milk jugs in lue of individually packaged cartons of milk. The location must use individual cartons or obtain a food permit.
511-6-2-.19(1) - Food Service Establishment All food service facilities except for bed and breakfast inns shall comply with provisions of O.C.G.A. Chapter 26-2. Art. 13 and the rules, regulations and standards adopted thereunder. Bed and breakfast inns, and tourist accommodations without a foodservice permit, shall instead comply with this Rule
27 - all furniture, waste receptacles, draperies, carpets; clean, and in good repair, considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(5) - condition of furnishings
Room 123: Observed the sofa chair heavily stained. Room 127: Observed the bedside chairs stained. Observed the tv stand in bad repair. Room 206: Observed stains and hair on the sofa couch and white stains on the desk chair. Room 201: Observed the sofa chair with heavy stains. Observed the night stain drawer in bad repair and the bedside table chipped. Observed a drawer missing on the tv stand.
511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin
28 - beds, mattresses, mattress pads, springs, frames, pillows, and bed coverings clean; vermin free and in good condition; bed linen properly supplied, changed and laundered

Room 123: Observed stains on both the mattress cover, sheets, and pillow. The mattress cover is heavily stained. Observed hair on pillow. Room 127: Observed stains on the top cover. Observed a hole in the mattress cover. Room 206: Observed stains through out the linen (sheets and mattress cover). Room 201: Observed heavy stains on the mattress cover.
511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly
16 - toilet/lavatory/bathing facility fixtures and rooms clean and maintained; properly lighted, clearly marked, proper signage, and all in good repair

Room 127: Observed a hole in the wall and the ceiling in disrepair in the bathroom. Room 206: Observed a mold like stain on the mirror in the bathroom. Observed low hot water pressure on the hand sink. Room 201: Observed hair on towels.
511-6-2-.08(4) - Toilet Facilities-Cleaning and Maintenance Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists
