Observed the dumpsters to be open during the inspection.

Covering Receptacles (C) (n) Covering Receptacles. Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be kept covered:

1. Inside the food service establishment if the receptacles and units:

(i) Contain food residue and are not in continuous use; or

(ii) After they are filled; and

2. With tight-fitting lids or doors if kept outside the food service establishment.

COS: PIC closed the dumpsters during the inspection.

Observed no inspection report posted in drive-thru window. Food service establishments with drive-thru windows will post the current inspection report, and also have the inspection report posted so that a minimum of the top one-third of a copy of the current inspection report is visible through each window allowing customers to easily read the score, date of inspection and establishment information. Corrective Actions: PIC (person in charge) stated today's inspection report will be copied and posted in the drive-thru window.

Observed 1 out of 2 dumpsters to have missing drain plug. Drains in receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall have drain plugs in place. Corrective Actions: PIC (person in charge) stated appropriate personnel will be notified to install drain plug.

Observed lids open on both dumpsters allowing access from pests such as squirrels. Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be kept covered with tight-fitting lids or doors if kept outside the food service establishment. Corrective Actions: PIC (person in charge) stated all employees will be briefed on closing dumpster lids when taking out trash.
