2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
Observed facility has no written procedures on site for handling any vomiting or diarrheal events. PIC did show picture of procedure sent by management to follow for such an event, but required items to follow procedure were not available at the establishment. Corrective action - PIC advised to have written procedures for vomit or diarrhea clean-up, train employees on the procedure, have all required supplies on hand (including sanitizer effective against Norovirus), and have written documents on site and available for review by the health authority at the next inspection.

Observed chemical cleaner bottles stored on shelving next to packages of coffee beans. Observed sanitizer cloth bucket stored on shelf next to single-service coffee cups and lids. Corrected on site - PIC relocated bottles to shelf away from foodservice items (c) Storage, Separation. Poisonous or toxic materials shall be stored so they cannot contaminate food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service and single-use articles by:

Separating the poisonous or toxic materials by spacing or partitioning; P and

Locating the poisonous or toxic materials in an area that is not above food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service or single-use articles. This requirement does not apply to equipment and utensil cleaners and sanitizers that are stored in warewashing areas for availability and convenience if the materials are stored to prevent contamination of food, equipment, utensils, linens, and single-service and single-use articles.
