Observed unapproved cooking equipment in room 206. Observed Air Fryer in Room 206. Corrective Action: PIC was notified. Management was instructed to remove all unapproved cooking equipment to eliminate fire hazards. Only provided microwaves and coffee makers are approved for use in guest rooms. This will be rechecked by the Health Department in 24 hours

Observed smoke detectors not operating properly in rooms 203, 204, and 205. After further investigation, it was noted other rooms on the 2nd floor were affected.
Corrective Action: PIC was notified. The rooms on the 2nd floor will not be rented until all smoke detectors have been serviced by Owens Security and are verified to be functioning properly. PIC will use battery operated smoke detectors in the rooms currently being rented until they are repaired. This will be rechecked by the Health Department

Observed area of black build-up on ceiling above shower in room 205. Corrective Action: PIC notified. Discussed cleaning area and identifying the cause to repair the issue before renting this room. This will be rechecked by the Health Department
