Observed PIC not ensuring food areas are safe and prohibiting unauthorized personnel. Observed storage room adjacent to public restrooms unlocked without means to keep food storage room locked. CA: PIC will ensure food storage room is made to be locked and prohibit unauthorized personnel.

Observed multiple food service employees wearing jewelry other than a plain ring on their hands/arms while preparing. Corrective Action: Food service employees were instructed to remove all jewelry, including apple watches and rings. PIC will retrain all employees on personal cleanliness.

Observed multiple food service employees entering kitchen area after doing other tasks in Kroger facility begin making coffee and handling clean utensils without washing hands. Corrective Action: Food service employees were directed to wash hands. The drink prepared by employee was discarded and ice scoop was washed, rinsed and sanitized. PIC will train all staff on when to wash hands.

Observed multiple opened dairy items (skim milk, whole milk, half 'n half, whipped cream) in reach-in cooler without date marking. Food service employees and PIC were unsure when these items were opened. Corrective Action: Discussed date marking all dairy items, if held over night, and they must be used within 7-days with PIC. Because it was unclear when these items were opened, PIC discarded all dairy items without date marking.

Observed single-service items stored on floor in dry storage. Observed boxes of lids and drink carriers stored on floor in dry storage area. CA: Discussed requirement to store all items 6" off the floor with PIC. PIC relocated all single-use items to at least 6" off the floor.

Observed black build-up under ice machine, around floor drain, and other areas of main kitchen. Corrective Action: Discussed cleaning frequency with PIC. These areas will be cleaned by a designated employee.
