Observed pH testing higher than the maximum allowed level (7.9 and 8.0). CA: pH must be maintained between 7.2 - 7.8. COS: Pool is voluntarily closed for chemical rebalancing. Pool is to remain closed until health dept. has re-checked chemicals after balancing.
Regulation: 511-3-5-.23(5)(c ) - (c) the pump, automatic disinfectant equipment, or other equipment necessary for continuous filtration and disinfection of the swimming pool, spa, or recreational water park attraction is not working or is unable to maintain adequate turnover rate.

Observed pool gpm turnover (30 gpm) to be above the allowed turnover for a public pool of this type in State of Georgia. CA: Pool must be at a minimum 6 hour turnover. COS: Pool is voluntarily closed and will contact CPO for service.

Observed log book not believable and not matching test results obtained by health dept., FCL not documented for month of April. CA: pic of daily testing must document accurate records of their performed test results with approved kit along with corrective actions, verify safety equipment and filter, pump, and sanitizing (salt system) checks. Observed written documentation from CPO records twice per week not believable (total chlorine and FCL same number documented, test results showed large discrepancies, GPM not documented (30 gpm), pool not closed when turnover is above range, and CPO records for the month of March not available. Flow (gpm) not documented on CPO records and person visiting pool not CPO certified. CA: CPO visiting pool must provide CPO certification, and chemical test must be performed by licensed CPO. CPO must check all safety equipment and turnover rate of pool. COS: CPO visits to pool must be licensed CPO and records must include safety equipment checks, flow rate check/documentation, condition of all filter/pump/sanitizer equipment. Pool Logbook did not show daily test results and required documentation. CA: Discussed required documentation with front desk clerk. COS: health dept. will check documentation before reopening.

Observed pH level to be higher than the maximum level for the GA. CA: discussed pH with pic of testing pool daily and Backyard Creations company CPO was contacted by pic. Discussed with Penny (manager) and Pool is closed until re-checked by health department.

Observed pH levels written as higher levels than allowed and no documentation of pool closed and re-testing. CA: discussed proper documentation from CPO records and re-testing when levels are not in acceptable range for compliance with DPH Rule 511-3-5-.1 with pic. Also discussed having twice daily everyday testing documentation for pool with pic of daily testing for FCL and PH, safety checks. CPO to come to facility today and will re-check pool chemistry and ensure that pool is re-tested when not in compliance and documented properly Health Department to re-check records and chemicals before pool is re-opened.

Observed no peak occupancy signage for pool. CA: discussed signage for peak occupancy should be placed in clear view of entry of pool with pic.
