The flow meter is not within the correct range for the pool size. Replace flow meter with one that has the proper range. A flow meter measuring the rate of flow through the filter system with an appropriate range readable in gallons per minute (GPM) and accurate within ten percent actual flow shall be provided. The flow indicator shall be capable of measuring from one-half to at least one and one-half times the design flow rate. The gauge shall be located after the filtering equipment and in such location on the return line, so as to measure the total amount of water returning to the pool according to the manufacturer’s installation specifications.

A float line was not in place. A rope and float line shall be provided within one foot of and on the shallow side of the break in grade between the shallow and deep portions of the swimming pool, with its position marked with visible floats at intervals of seven feet or less. Rope and floats may be attached at the location indicated by the tiles on bottom of pool due to shape of pool. Notification to bathers that the break in slope is before the rope float is highly recommended.

The pressure gauge on the first pump is not functioning properly. Replace gauge. Must be corrected prior to routine inspection.

The no diving marker on the deck is not in lettering at least 4" in height. Must be corrected prior to permitting 2028. The words "No Diving" and the universal international symbol for “NO DIVING” shall be permanently visible at the edge of the deck for water five feet in depth or less, placed only on the deck beside the depth markers, and shall conform to that outlined for depth markers.

Observed that the body hook was not attached to the pole. CA: A light, strong pole not less than twelve feet long including body hook.

Observed that the flow meter was not working. Observed that the daily safety-self inspection was not completed or available. CA: A safety self-inspection shall be conducted daily by the trained operator or responsible person and documented on a log sheet.

Observed that the twice daily monitoring of chemicals was not being completed. CA: The trained operator or responsible person shall collect water samples from the water in the pool for monitoring as required.

Observed that a float line was not in place. CA: A rope and float line shall be provided within one foot of and on the shallow side of the break in grade between the shallow and deep portions of the swimming pool, with its position marked with visible floats at intervals of seven feet or less.

Observed that the depth tiles were in a state of disrepair/damaged. CA: Depth markers number and letters shall be tile and four inches minimum in height. Numbers shall be of contrasting color to the background on which they are applied.

Observed that the wrong life guard signage was posted. CA" Where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign or signs shall be placed in clear view at or near the entrance to the pool and shall state in clearly legible letters at least four inches high “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY”.

Observed that the bather load was not posted. CA: A sign shall be posted stating the hours of operation in clear view near the entrance and shall state the theoretical peak occupancy.

Provide daily records of water testing.
