CA: Food employees and conditional employees are informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report in accordance with the Chapter, to the person in charge, information about their health and activities as they relate to diseases that are transmissible through food; Pf OBSERVATION: Unable to verify if employees have employee health training.
2-2D - adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(3)(b) - hand drying provision (pf)
CA: Paper towels shall be provided at the handwash sink. Observed no paper towels at the kitchen handwash sink (Repeat) nor in the unisex lobby restroom. COS- napkins placed in the kitchen for hand drying.
2-2E - response procedures for vomiting & diarrheal events
Regulation: 511-6-1.03(6) - clean-up of vomiting and diarrheal events(pf)
CA: (6) Responding To Contamination Events. A food establishment shall have written procedures for employees to follow and an EPA registered disinfectant effective against Norovirus available on-site at the food service establishment when responding to vomiting or diarrheal events that involve the discharge of vomitus or fecal matter onto surfaces in the food service establishment. The procedures shall address the specific actions employees must take to minimize the spread of contamination and the exposure of employees, consumers, food, and surfaces to vomitus or fecal matter.Pf
OBSERVATION: Procedure and specific chemical for cleaning and disinfecting an affected area was not clear.
Discussed with PIC to review chemicals and to contact supplier for a chemical that is effective against Norovirus that can either be poured for the mixture or that is in a ready-to-use (RTU) form.
Chemical and written procedure must be submitted by 1-12-26.
13A - posted: permit/inspection/choking poster/handwashing
Regulation: 511-6-1.02(1)(d) - displaying of the inspection report (c)
CA: 1. The most current inspection report shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, within fifteen feet of the front or primary public door and between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in an area where it can be read at a distance of one foot away. OBSERVATION: Inspection report was not posted for public view.
15A - food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used
Regulation: 511-6-1.05(3)(j) - sink for washing raw fruit and vegetables (p)
CA: At least 1 sink dedicated to washing fruits & vegetables, plumbed with hot & cold water under pressure shall be provided for produce that must be washed.
Observed wrapped apples onsite w/o a produce sink. Notice of violation issued via email COS- apple discarded.
17A - toilet facilities: properly constructed, supplied, cleaned
Regulation: 511-6-1.07(3)(e) - toilet tissue, availability (pf)
CA: Toilet Tissue, Availability. A supply of toilet tissue shall be available at each toilet. Pf OBSERVATION: No toilet tissue was provided in the unisex lobby restroom. COS- toilet tissue replenished.
