4 - water clarity: main drains clearly visible
13-189(c)(6)-- The water shall be of such clarity that the main drains on the bottom of the pool at the deepest point clearly visible from the deck. The viewer shall be to clearly distinguish the type, shape and number of openings of the main drain grate covers. At the time of inspection the water was very opaque and the main drains on the bottom of the pool at the deepest point was not clearly visible from the deck. Person in charge was advised to ensure that the water clear so that the main drains on the bottom of the pool at the deepest point was not clearly visible from the deck.
7 - ph between 7.2 and 7.8
13-189(c)(1):The pool shall be maintained in a alkaline condition at all times with a pH level between 7.2-7.8. At the time of inspection the pH level was observed at 8.3 for the initial reading and 8.2 on the second reading. Person in charge was advised to maintain the pH level between 7.2 - 7.8 at all times.
11 - appropriate lifesaving equipment present
13-202(d):Life saving equipment shall be mounted in a conspicuous place and be readily available for use and in good condition. I observed the lifesaving ring rope not in good condition, rope came apart upon touch. Person in charge wa advised to replace said rope.
19 - adequate turnover rate
13-190(a). The equipment shall be operated continuously on a twenty-four (24) hour basis to obtain the required turnover rate of six (6) hours. At the time of inspection teh GPM observed was 70 gpm and the required GPM is 86 to maintain teh required six hour turnover rate.
20 - return inlets maintained
13-190 (a) All circulation equipment shall function properly and be maintained in a clean condition. At the time of inspection four (4) out of six (6) return inlet pipes were observed without covers. Person in Charge was advised to have covers replaced.
37 - other violations of the chapter
13-188(a)- Pool surfaces shall be in good repair and shall have no cracks or open joints. At the time of inspection multiple cracks and uneven surfaces were observed on the pool floor and walls and pool deck next to entry/ exit stairs and tiles were observed missing at pool waterline tile at the 3 ft dept area of pool. Person in Charge was advised to have all surfaces repaired.
