Observed red/pink slime in ice machine on the 2nd floor. CA:In existing tourist accommodations permitted prior to the adoption of this rule, the use of existing self-service ice-storage bins may be continued, provided that the machines are maintained in good repair and capable of being properly cleaned and sanitized according to the manufacturer’s recommendations

Observed documentation for last annual gas fired inspection conducted 2/19/2024.
C/A: All gas-fired equipment shall be inspected at least annually by a qualified licensed contractor or local fire authority, if available. Points to be inspected are proper construction and installation, malfunctions and adjustments of controls and burners, faulty heat exchangers and vent obstructions. Any defects found on inspection must be corrected by a qualified heating contractor prior to use of the equipment. Upon request, the operator shall provide evidence of inspection and/or correction of any deficiency.
POC: Conduct annual gas fired inspection and email documentation to EHS within 2-weeks

C/A: Clean and sanitize units; ensure ice machines are stored in a clean place and kept clean

Observed hot water temperatures exceeding 120F in all observed rooms: 101, 117, 209, 223, 315, and 402.
C/A: Decrease and maintain hot water at 120F and below. In all new tourist accommodations, and where possible in existing tourist accommodations, hot water in all guest rooms shall not exceed 120F.
Informal follow-up will occur in 10-days for hot water compliance.
COS: Informal 6/14/2024: Observed room 101 during visit; all other rooms noted occupied. The maximum hot water temperature observed at 108F in room 101. EHS observed 2-hot water heaters set to 120F for client rooms and common areas
