EHS observed the dumpster

Regulation: 511-6-1.06(5)(q) - cleaning receptacles, in manner to prevent contamination and build-up (c)
EHS observed the dumpster area was in need of cleaning. There was trash on the ground. PIC stated that they share the dumpster with Dollar general. There is actually two dumpsters but the green dumpster on the left is what belongs to them.
CA-PIC needs to make sure that the dumpster area is clean and that there is no trash on the ground and also make sure that the lids are covering the dumpster when it is not in use.

Receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be thoroughly cleaned in a way that does not contaminate food, equipment, utensils, linens, or single-service and single-use articles, and waste water shall be disposed of as specified under subsection (4)(e) of this Rule.

Soiled receptacles and waste handling units for refuse, recyclables, and returnables shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to prevent them from developing a buildup of soil or becoming attractants for insects and rodents.

EHS observed the handrail in the customer bathroom hanging off the wall right above the toilet.
CA-PIC needs to restore the broken handrail in the bathroom.

(a) Good Repair. All physical facilities shall be maintained in good repair.

The physical facilities shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and by methods that prevent contamination of food products.

Except for cleaning that is necessary due to a spill or other accident, cleaning shall be done during periods when the least amount of food is exposed, such as after closing.

If present, playground equipment and associated areas shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. In addition, a cleaning and sanitizing plan along with cleaning and sanitizing records for playground equipment and associated areas shall be maintained within the food service establishment for review upon request by the Health Authority. Further, such cleaning and sanitizing plan for employees to follow in the event of encountering vomitus or fecal matter shall be included and submitted at the time of permit application as specified in DPH Rule 511-6-1-.02(1)(c).
