27 - all furniture, waste receptacles, draperies, carpets; clean, and in good repair, considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(5) - condition of furnishings
Observed the follow in each room:
215: Phone is not working 301: Cabinets have tears, bed head board is scratched, draped stained and scratched, drawer chipped, Sofa cushion stained 310: Phone not working 338: Drawer stained
Carpet within hallways are stained in several area through facility.
511-6-2-.14(5) - Condition of Furnishings All furniture, draperies, appliances, carpets, and other accessories, in the tourist accommodation, whether the property of the tourist accommodation owner or not, shall be considered the property of and furnished by the tourist accommodation for purposes of enforcement of this Chapter, and must be maintained in good repair, clean, and free of vermin.
Corrective action: Discussed with PIC to have items repaired or replaced. As well to clean carpet stains or have carpet replaced
28 - beds, mattresses, mattress pads, springs, frames, pillows, and bed coverings clean; vermin free and in good condition; bed linen properly supplied, changed and laundered

Observed the following in each room:

511-6-2-.14(6) - Bed, Bedding, and Linens Washable mattress pads or covers shall be used on all mattresses. Beds, mattresses, springs, slats, mattress pads, mattress and bed coverings, pillow and pillow covers shall be clean and free from vermin. Each bed shall be provided, as a minimum, with two sheets and one pillow and pillowcase. After each occupancy and upon the request of the occupant, sheets and pillowcases shall be changed with fresh laundered linens. During occupancy, linens shall be changed at a minimum frequency of not less than weekly.
Corrective action: Discussed with PIC to have all stains cleaned and to replace if stains are uncleanble
16 - toilet/lavatory/bathing facility fixtures and rooms clean and maintained; properly lighted, clearly marked, proper signage, and all in good repair
Regulation: 511-6-2-.08(4) - toilet facilities-cleaning and maintenance
Observed the following in each room:
215: Bathroom ceiling paint stripping and caulking within bathtub needs to be redone. 221: Sink stained, tub paint chipping 301: Sink has bleach stains, tub and bathroom wall paint chipping 310: Bathroom strip peeling and caulking needs redoing 311: Tub paint chipping 336: Tub stained 337: Toilet lid chipped, hair in tub 338: Bathroom ceiling stained, tub paint chipping, shower strip peeling, sink tile stained
511-6-2-.08(4) - Toilet Facilities-Cleaning and Maintenance Toilet rooms and fixtures must be smooth and nonabsorbent and shall be kept clean and in good repair. Walls, floors, and ceilings shall be constructed of easily cleanable nonabsorbent materials and shall be kept clean and in good repair. While being used by tourists, every surface of a bathtub, shower, shower enclosure, toilet and lavatory, which may come in contact with a person’s body, must be sanitized each day, unless the guest has declined regular tourist room services. If a tourist declines regular tourist room services, the tourist accommodation facility must ensure that these surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at least once per week and between tourists.
Corrective action: Discussed with PIC about repainting walls and tub, sink tiles if possible to remove stains and to redo caulking where needed
25 - floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors clean, and in good repair; appropriate for location and operation
Regulation: 511-6-2-.14(1) - floors, walls, and ceilings
Observed the following in each room:
215: Wall stained 301: Ceiling has been repainted, but requires to be re-done for stipples 311: Wall patches requires to be repainted
511-6-2-.14(1) - Floors, Walls, and Ceilings Floors, walls, ceilings. windows, doors and all other appurtenances shall be of sound construction, properly maintained in good repair and shall be kept clean. In all new constructed and extensively remodeled residential kitchens used in bed and breakfast inns, coved base molding may be required. Walls and ceilings in residential kitchens shall be easily cleanable and light colored.
Corrective action: Discussed with PIC to have walls and ceiling repainted and stippled
